Today's special: White-tailed deer

Working at QNX comes with a number of benefits, including a nearby forest populated by coyotes, porcupines, white-tailed deer, and a variety of other wildlife.

It was bright and sunny outside last Friday, so I grabbed my camera and headed out into the forest -- just a five-minute drive down the road. An hour later, I returned to the office with about two dozen deer photos, including these two. Enjoy.

Nice pics, Paul! He's gorgeous! I do have to say that the fact he hasn't moved at all between the two vantage points almost makes it look like you photoshopped in the background. (I know your professionalism wouldn't allow you to do that, though.)

Thanks Andy. To me, the first shot is the better one because I made sure to get at or below the deer's eye level -- much more flattering for the deer. Should have knelt down further for the second one.

Great shots indeed. I also tend to prefer the first one.
It's not in Cambridge that we see them... At best we might spot a fox!

Thanks Alban! I'm hoping to go out again this week. If I come back with any interesting shots, I'll post them.
